Rosemary Sabet was born and raised in London, before moving to Rome in 1967, where she met her Egyptian husband.  They relocated to Cairo in 1974, where she had a long distinguished career at The British International Shool, Cairo. teaching Ballet and Drama.  She wrote and directed many of her own plays and musical productions and retired in 2011.

Rosemary is the author of the book, From Trafalgar to Tahrir, published in 2012, which is a non-fiction book, and an intriguing memoir that takes her readers back and forth between her past as a child growing up in post war London, and her involvement in the 2011 Egyptian uprising.  It had excellent reviews from writers such as Sania Sharawi Lanfranci, author of Casting off the Veil.

The Scent of Jasmine is Rosemary’s debut novel, and a second novel is in the making.

Rosemary lives with her husband, a music producer, in Cairo, has two sons and two grandsons.
